Jeep® Brand engineers have enhanced the performance of the legendary 3.6L Pentastar®engine. The Selec-Trac® 4x4 System features a full-time mode that will automatically switch from 2WD to 4WD when conditions dictate. When rock crawling over different surfaces and angles, power can easily be misapplied and wheels can start spinning. Rubicon is equipped with front and rear Tru-Lok® electronic locking differentials. They lock power and distribute it evenly between the wheels for ultimate traction.
The all-new Wrangler is engineered to hit the trails, with steel front and rear tow hooks for rescuing less capable vehicles and with heavy-gauge steel skid plates to protect critical components for safer and more secure off-roading.
This available option group adds an upgraded battery and alternator along with programmable auxiliary control switches to control aftermarket products, including many available from Jeep® Performance Parts.
